Description

Ste Madeleine is among several villages in Trinidad that originated during the glorious days when sugar ruled the economy.

With the closure of Caroni (1975) Ltd, thousands were put on the breadline, leaving behind the history of a sugar refinery built in 1872

Usine Ste. Madeleine was the largest, most modern factory built in 1872.
